At V&M, activities
in the social area are developed through the Annual Program
of Community Integration Actions in partnership with the civil
society, private institutions and NGOs.
Such actions are focused on the regional
insertion of the company and its collaborators in neighboring
communities, seeking participation in community development
action.
Regarding the environment, V&M Floresta
underwent two re-certification auditings in 2003 and maintained
the environmental norms certifications ISO 14001 and FSC,
from the Forest Handling Council, attesting to the company’s
responsibility regarding social and environmental matters.
